Kicking off the blog thing with an adorable baby!

Hello! I have a blog now! I’m not exactly sure how to be a blogger, so bear with me as I figure things out. I figured what better session for my first entry than a combination of two of my favorite things: Newborns and Lifestyle Photography! Oh, and a cute dog! So, three of my favorite things! I’m also not great at math.

That’s Kayla. She’s super excited to have a new little human brother. No really, she is. See?

Her little brother is the adorable peanut of a baby, David. Seriously, have you ever seen anyone so tiny and perfect? Except for your own babies, of course. And mine. Ok, so all babies are tiny and perfect, but David is definitely up there with the best of them. While we’re on the subject of perfect, check out the quilt the family is sitting on. David’s Mommy made it! It was love at first sight for me as soon as I walked into the room, and I knew the colors would look amazing in the photos. And they do.

While I adore bright, bold colors in my photographs, I am also a sucker for a moody black and white. (Which is why all my sessions include both versions of every. single. image. I typically can’t decide which one I like better, so you always get both!) So, to wrap things up, here’s some of my favorite black and white shots from the session.

Woo hoo! First blog in the books! Thanks for checking it out and make sure to check back often for my latest work!
